Continuing Education

InSOPHE's Continuing Education committee provides workshops and trainings for professional health educators to improve their skills in a variety of areas such as leadership, organization, cultural competency and advocacy. These workshops are provided an average of twice a year (once in the spring and in the fall) with the opportunity to earn continuing education hours for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES). Continuing education hours awarded at each workshop range from 1.5 to 2.0 CECH's. InSOPHE has collaborated with organizations such as the Indiana Public Health Association to provide advocacy workshops that also offer CHES hours. Events like this are offered in addition to the spring and fall workshops.
